As you all know, yesterday was Easter. Well this year, Philip's brother's birthday fell on that day too. He would have been 34.
As the family gathered at the cemetery, I found myself thinking about Christ's atonement and being somehow more grateful than usual this year for the knowledge that we will see our loved ones again someday. The knowledge that we can be together forever. I have such an amazing amount of gratitude for all that He did for us.
*Just a funny sidenote - As we have been trying to teach Malia about the atonement this week we have also been talking about heaven a lot. She somehow has it ingrained in her that since she has been in heaven (before she was born) that she has died before. Because when people die, they go to heaven. :)
