I've been trying to include myself in our story, and part of that is taking selfies. It's a thing I sort of hate, but no one else can make sure I only have one chin! I try to have Malia take selfies with me when we're twinning or when she is being/looking extra cute and she hates it.
I felt like that was an important thing to document. I never had that problem when I was a kid.
I used my Felicity Jane kits for this layout and had a bit of fun coloring some of the black and white patterned papers with my distress inks. Also, that glitter foam "smile" title piece is winning all of the things. I love it.
Everything on the layout came from the kit, except for the inks, which I'll list below. If you want to see the process of how this layout came together, you can watch it!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure to check back tomorrow. I'll be doing a huge layout share and announcing a new series on my YouTube channel!
I really enjoy watching your process videos. I can see you are growing in confidence. Just a side note because I've heard you say it a few times. I think the distress ink color is evergreen bow - I could be wrong - (pronounced like bow on a present or in a girl's hair, not like a bow you do after a performance.) I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words! I think the pronunciation is a regional thing...people around here pronounce bough as bow, like you do after a performance. Just one of those things! :)
DeleteYep, I knew I should have kept my mouth shut when I didn't know what I was talking about (since I don't even own the product). My apologies. I didn't know they were spelling it bough. What a strange word anyway, huh? Take care and again, love your work!
DeleteI found your layout on pinterest and LOVED it! Thank you so much for the process video - I can't wait to try out some of those techniques. Can you tell me what size the photo is that you used? - Stephanie
