Hello Arizona...

Earlier this year, I lost both my Grandma and my Uncle within a matter of 13 days. Neither was completely unexpected, but it was a hard time nonetheless. We drove to Oregon and Arizona for their their funerals and there were a few things each time that let me know that God was looking out for me.

When I got this month's Felicity Jane kit, Going Places, there were a few things in the kit that prompted me to record that memory. The cute little cactus had me thinking of Arizona for sure!

In the journaling I talk about how the fact that it was so beautiful and that we got to experience warm weather in the middle of winter were huge blessings! Here are some of the details:

I totally stamped the right date, thought it was wrong, covered up, and then realized it was correct! Argh! Do you ever do things like that? Tell me I'm not alone! Haha.

The colors in this month's kit are absolutely gorgeous, and I have to apologize because my photos have a weird color cast that I couldn't get rid of for some reason!

I added a bit of texture to the background with a stencil and it really adds to the page. I especially love how you can see the dots of texture behind the vellum title.
