Each Saturday on my YouTube channel, I post a video in the current series I'm working on. I've started with 6 x 6 Paper Pad Love and last week rounded out my Out of the Pocket series (you can find the giveaway winner here.) This week I'm beginning a new series called Collection Disconnection.
Each time I start a new series, I think about problems or challenges that I want to give myself. The 6x6 and Out of the Pocket series' stemmed from the fact that I had those products lying around and I wasn't using them. I figured if that was the case for me, that must be the case for other people as well. With Collection Disconnection I really wanted to push myself creatively because I don't usually buy an entire collection from a manufacturer. Even this time, I didn't buy the entire collection. You can see what I did buy here.
In this series I'll show you how you can take one line and make several layouts that look very different from each other and that don't necessarily follow the intended theme of the kit. I really wanted to show you how to disconnect yourself from the collection. Hence the name. :) You can see my first layout here, in which I actually just used the kit as intended.
The Wonder collection is meant to "give you a view of life through a child's eyes", according to Crate Paper. It has whimsical icons and phrases mixed in with versatile patterns and embellishments. You can view the entire collection on their website here.
If you want to see how this one came together, you can watch it on my YouTube channel or right here:
In future videos, I will show you how to switch things up and make them different from each other. I hope you'll play along! I actually bought the collection at my local scrapbook store, but I've included links to all available products below. I will add more as they become available.
Thanks for stopping by!

This is an adorable LO. I wanted to tell you that I have used one of your 6x6 paper pad ideas and last night I used your method of putting mr Hueys on packaging and then on the card stock. I LOVE the way it turned out. I am soo glad that I found you through Tracie. I am making my way through all of your process videos and have so many ideas that I want to use. Keep up the great work.
