Felicity Jane: Family

The Felicity Jane "Feels Like Home" kit is perfection. As soon as I saw the colors I fell in love and immediately thought of some family photos we had taken in December. The colors were a great match. I love it when that happens. :)

I will apologize immediately, because I had to photograph this late in the evening and the colors don't look quite right to me. Still, I love the layout!

The colors in this kit are rich, vibrant, and fresh at the same time. I really love the combination. It has the perfect mixture of masculine and feminine patterns, too.

I used one of the new Felicity Jane cut files from the Silhouette online store, and I love how it frames the top photo!

I held down my ruler on top of that woodgrain paper and ripped it so it gave texture but still had a straight line. I love doing that.

I used some of the gold thread that came on a cute little spool in the kit to make some "nests" below some of my embellishment clusters. I haven't done that in a while, so I was glad to bring it back here.

I colored some of the wood veneer hearts with Prima chalk ink to bring in another pop of yellow. If you want to see how this layout came together, check out my process video on YouTube or right here:
