Things that Matter: Collection Disconnection//Fancy Free #6

Thanks for coming back for another layout in my Collection Disconnection series. A few weeks back I made a layout using the blue and green/yellow patterned paper squares from this sheet of paper:

Here's the layout:

I saved all of the pink/red bits and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.

Between my daughter and I, we wear a lot of pink around here. I often do a load of "pinks" on my laundry days and I wanted to document that. What better way than with a somewhat monochromatic layout?

I used all of those leftover pink and red squares, chopped them in half, and made a bit of a quilted-looking background on the left side of my page.

I stitched on each triangle to reinforce the quilted look and I like the idea of making the paper look like fabric because of the pile of clothes in the photo.

I layered up a bunch of pink and red embellishments, including some chipboard words, which form the loose title, "Life Colorful".
