Collection Disconnection//Fancy Free #7 - Easter Favorites

Hey friends! I'm back with another layout in my Collection Disconnection series. I was on a bit of a hand-stitching kick a few weeks back and stitched on several layouts while binge watching Friends.  I shared one of them with you here, and today I want to share another one.


I used my Rose and Leaves cut file as a template to create the holes for my stitches and used colors that I knew were in some of the embellishments for the Fancy Free Collection.


I decided to focus on that one particular style of flower found in several of the embellishments so I got a good mix of transparency, chipboard, puffy stickers and tags.


Besides the background paper and a few little bits left over from a previous layout, there isn't any patterned paper on this layout. I added most of the color with embellishments and I find that I really like this way of scrapbooking.


I really love the simple font and bright colors of the Thickers in this collection, but once you use them a few times, it can be hard to match the colors to your layouts. I had no problem using a little bit of white acrylic paint to solve my problem. :)
