Old Meets New Stash Kit: The Best

Hey friends! I'm happy to bring you the second layout in my latest Old Meets New Stash Kit series. This time, I decided to play up the blues and greens in the kit and I'm really happy with the results.

Now, I have to admit something. About halfway through this layout, I decided to add something else to my kit...the Crate Paper Cute Girl Ephemera Pack. I had included stickers and chipboard, but felt like I needed die cuts too. And because it's my kit, I can do whatever I want! Haha. :)

This is a layout about how, even right after my mom broke her kneecap, she was still the best Aba (Abuelita) ever. I decided to use a piece of cardstock that I had smeared white acrylic paint on last week for my background. I created a title using the Studio Calico chipboard alphas + the Jen alphabet stamp set - yay!

I used the lemon die cut (for making lemonade in a bad situation) and a quote from the Maggie Holmes cut-apart sheet to create a backwards "L" design. This is a design I come back to again and again. You can see that I also used the gorgeous watercolor raindrop washi tape as a kind of mat for my photos. All the heart eyes for that washi!

I finished the layout with some large acrylic ink splatters. Yep. Still loving the splatters. It kind of got on my photo, but I had already printed it twice, and there was no freakin' way I was printing it again!

If you want to see my whole process, check out the video below or over on my YouTube channel.
