Hello! My name is Jen. I am a thirty-something mom and wife living in the town where I grew up. My favorite movie is the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and I have a tendency to kill plants. I feel like my face looks better in photos when I do something weird with it and I'm okay with that.
I love memory keeping and celebrating the moments in life that matter. That's what this blog is about. I've been scrapbooking since I was 12 and I love it more as time goes on. I have a passion for sharing the ideas that make scrapbooking fun and meaningful and I want to share that with you! In fact, I love it so much that I recently made the craziest most wonderful decision ever - to quit my full time job and work for myself!
I love taking everyday photos and I'm pretty active on Instagram. You can follow my crafty endeavors here. Lately I've become obsessed with watercolor and I'm diving in head first. I've also started making tons of cards and I'm having a lot of fun with that too!
I have worked for a number of years in the scrapbooking industry for both Close To My Heart and Silhouette and I have learned a lot along the way. Currently, I am very passionate about my scrappy YouTube channel and have several Scrapbooking classes under my belt. You can find them in my shop!
I love teaching about my process and sharing tips and tricks for great design, fun techniques, and telling your most important stories. I also love traveling and mixing the two is my favorite! I've taught on two Cruise & Crop cruises and a few scrapbooking retreats as well. In recent months, I have been able to share some of my ideas for using up your craft stash on my local morning show, Studio 5. You can see the clips from my appearances here and here.
I also love doing hand-lettering and love to incorporate it on my scrapbook layouts. I've been so lucky to have my hand-lettering featured on stamp sets, stickers, wood veneer, and more!
If you want me to come teach for you or would like to hire me for contract work, you can email me at craftyjenschow@gmail.com.
I'm currently on the Ali Edwards and Pink Paislee design teams and because of my love of storytelling and pretty paper, both are a great fit for me.
